Bobrisky is a very popular news in Nigeria, if you are a Nigerian and you have not heard of the man, Bobrisky, you probably still not yet a Nigerian because the social media and the entertainment industry is awash with his name, in fact, he may be considered a celebrity in the Nigeria social parlance, since he once quoted that he moves with the high and mighty.
Bobrisky, christened Okuneye Idris Olarewanju but later changed his name to Bobrisky which on searching the internet for the meaning couldn’t even give me meaning but what about“bob” sure, the meaning is an up and down movement and risky well, I know you all know the meaning already.
So here the case of an individual just moving up and down in a risky manner in life, imagine you being born a man and saying you preferred to be born a woman, like who gets to choose the sex he or she is born with? That’s a decision beyond human, even if you are about to argue about sex selection of a baby that can be done clinically
I must commend the effort of the Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture, Otunba Olusegun Runsewe for shutting down Bobrisky birthday earlier this month because such a personality shouldn’t be hosting a closed-door party and not influence the society negatively because I don’t know the legacy that can be learned from there.
Also, the media and social media platforms that promote her should also rethink their actions because such an action is very toxic, I mean can you allow Bobrisky to babysit your ward given the chance that you know he had turned himself to a woman and was not created so right from the beginning?
And for those film producers, thinking of featuring her in the movies, thinking it will generate a lot of views, sorry it won’t because I won’t allow my wards to even hear that name, not to think of watching it.
Nigerians, lets watch it, everybody is doing something doesn’t make it right, some countries are legalizing same-sex marriage, transgender doesn’t make it right, it is absolutely wrong, if they were right, it would have been recorded in your histories that you had two great grandparents that were females and I bet you would have a lot of explaining to do for those kid before they can understand that a male and male can marry and have kids.
Well let me hang up my pen here, till another time but till then media houses and media platforms please promote good and sensible ideas. Thanks.
